What was the highlight of Elysian Gangchon Resort

Good

Rooms are very clean. Space is adequate and views were good. Warm water and water pressure were very good.

Reception staff could be more welcoming and it was a bit of a challenge asking for additional sets of futon and bath towels. Futons were soft and therefore I still felt like I was sleeping on the floor with no cushioning and therefore uncomfortable.

Family friendly resort, but expect to pay many extra fee

It was quiet and spacious. The facilities were nice and staff were very kind.

The kids play area was closed on Monday. The beds were very hard and there were many extra fees for things such as a an extra towel or cooking in your suite.

Wonderful

The place is right at the ski resort. It's super convenient to stay and ski here. The apartment is big and clean. There're cafes, restaurants and a G25 convenience store in the hotel and in the ski resort. There're ski schools, ski rental shops only a few steps away from the hotel and from the ski slopes. This is the place to stay if you're going skiing here.

It was a very beautiful area, very quiet and serene.

The AC was working but not very well. So, it ended up being a very warm temperature in our room.

Will reccomend! Good for Big Groups

Very close to the ski slopes which is convenient. Has a decent size supermarket with mostly everything you need. Apartment is very spacious with 2 rooms, living area,kitchen and shared bathroom. Kitchen was equiped with cups/ utensils/ plates etc. Shampoo, bodywash and towels were provided. (Bring your own toothbrush!) Overall good for big groups! our room came with beautiful views of the slopes which was a plus. The staffs were very helpful.

*up to personal preference* The bed and pillows were grossly uncomfortable- They were too soft sinks downwards. Had to pay to enter the gym.. Our room came with free access to sauna else you have to pay for that too.

Good to stay for skiing with family

It is right next to the skiing tracks. The room is spacious and clean.

One of the male staff at the reception is not really polite.

Good value, quite nice

Nice, clean, budget stay around this area where you can golf, swim(summer), stroll and not too far away from legoland (by car); there is a kid's playground indoors; restaurants inside the resort are a bit expensive but not too too costly and decent as well.

There is nothing outside the resort within a walking distance.

Very Good

Convenience Shop and restaurants on site.were very convenient. Microwave, kettle and fridge in the room means that you can make quick fast food. However limited cutlery, only chopsticks and spoons. Location was great.

Beware - the second bedroom is Futon beds only - but fine for kids. Beware - no bath towels, only hand towels. We read this on previous reviews so bought our own bigger towels. There are some facilities that are only accessible with a Korean credit card - e.g. the massage chairs. No flexibility on check in time. This is a big hotel so there aren't any personal touches and you can not really ask for anything extra so be prepared and bring what you need.

If you're looking for a place to stay while skiing, this is the right place

Room served its purpose. Warm with a small kitchen with sufficient amenities.

When checking in, the hotel staff wanted to give us a a unit with two rooms with no beds. After I told her that when booking, there was for one room with beds, she relented and agreed. This was not a pleasant experience. Also, the pillows in the room with the mattress were tiny and filled with seeds, not feathers/cotton. Not comfortable.

Great location for family winter vacation

Good facilities, convenient driving distance from Incheon airport by rental car (2 - 2.5 hours), decent ski resort, good base for tourist attractions, like the Hwacheon ice fishing festival, good breakfast.

Only tiny hand towels towels in the bathroom, no bath towels to dry after showering. More hand towels were brought on request. We thought this may be a cultural difference but other hotels later on our trip did have bath towels.

The one-night stay was very comfortable and complete if not only for the lack of toothbrush toothpaste etc. It so ecpect

The view at the room is excellent with large glass window that allows you to see the surrounding beautiful mountains.

The room we had was the suite hence expensive, yet there was no provision of tootbrush, toothpaste, showercap etc.

Spacious and comfortable room. Floor heater. Convenient for ski trip. Good breakfast buffet. Good restaurant.

Inflexible with check in time One pillow per person, charge extra if request extra pillow. Not sufficient big bath towel. Futon bed is very thin.

The location. Vivaldi water park is close by.

Most of the facilities at the hotel were closed. Including the pool, which was the main reason we booked this place. Booking.com said that the pool was open butbit was not.
